Airbus Industrie A319, A320 and A321 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/A320/27 Nose Wheel Steering Control 8/92

Applicability: A320 series aircraft specified in Airbus Industrie Service Bulletin A320-32-1094 dated 25 March 1992.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with Airbus Industrie Service Bulletin A320-32-1094 and Messier-Bugatti A320 Service Bulletin 580-32-3087.

 

Note: DGAC AD 92-117-25(B) dated 13 May 1992 refers.

 

Compliance: Prior to 23 July 1993.

 

Background: Airbus Industrie have reported cases of nose wheels rotating to 90 on landing, causing significant damage to the wheel. This Directive requires updating of the Brake/Steering Control Unit functional software which will prevent occurrences of a similar nature.
