COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY
SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Airbus Industrie A319, A320 and A321 Series Aeroplanes
AD/A320/14 Landing Gear - Interruption of Retraction Sequence 10/90
Applicability: All A320-111, 211 and 231 models without Airbus Industrie Modification 21920 incorporated.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Airbus Industrie Service Bulletin A320-32-1048.
Note: DGAC AD 90-026-007 (B) R1 refers.
Compliance: Prior to 4 December 1990.
Background: Airbus have advised that an interruption of electrical power during the landing gear retraction sequence can cause the de-energization of relay 48GA. This in turn can result in hydraulic pressure being removed from the landing gear retraction system thus allowing the landing gear to extend and lock in the down position due to the effect of gravity.
