SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

 


AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE


On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/A320/11 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

I V2500-A1 Engine Rear Mount Barrel Nuts 11/2004

 

 

Applicability: A320-231 series aeroplanes that have not embodied modification AIRBUS INDUSTRIE 22071 or AIRBUS INDUSTRIE Service Bulletin (SB) A320-71-1007.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with Airbus Industrie Operator Information Telexes: 1. ST/999.0085/90 and

2. ST/999.0087/90.

 

Note: DGAC AD 90-079-009(B)R1 refers.

 

Compliance: For Requirement 1: Remains unchanged as detailed in the original issue of this Directive as within 25 hours’ time in service after 12 July 1990.

 

For Requirement 2: Remains unchanged as detailed in the original issue of this Directive as Daily after 12 July 1990.

 

This Amendment becomes effective on 28 October 2004.

 

Background: Cracking of the engine rear mount barrel nuts has been reported. This amendment changes the applicability to only include those aircraft not modified or incorporating a certain service bulletin.

 

The original issue of this Directive became effective on 12 July 1990.
