Acts of Parliament assented to – Acts Nos 34 and 35 of 2025
IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED for general information that Her Excellency the Governor-General, in the name of His Majesty, assented on 28 August 2025 to the undermentioned Acts passed by the Senate and the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled, viz:
No. 34, 2025 –– An Act to provide for a national higher education code to prevent and respond to gender-based violence, and for related purposes [Universities Accord (National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence) Act 2025].
No. 35, 2025 –– An Act to deal with consequential matters arising from the enactment of the Universities Accord (National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence) Act 2025, and for related purposes [Universities Accord (National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence) (Consequential Amendments) Act 2025].
