Acts of Parliament assented to – Act Nos 43 to 47 of 2026
It is hereby notified, for general information, that Her Excellency the Governor-General, in the name of His Majesty, assented on 20 May 2026 to the undermentioned Acts passed by the Senate and the House of Representatives in the Parliament assembled, viz.:
No. 43 of 2026—An Act to amend the Commerce (Trade Descriptions) Act 1905 and the Customs Regulation 2015, and for related purposes. (Customs Legislation Amendment (False Trade Marks Infringement Notices) Act 2026).
No. 44 of 2026—An Act to amend the Export Control Act 2020, and for related purposes. (Export Control Amendment (Clarifying Obligations Relating to Registered Establishments) Act 2026).
No. 45 of 2026—An Act to provide support for Australian creators and publishers of books available in Australian public and educational lending libraries, and for related purposes. (Public and Educational Lending Rights (Better Income for Authors) Act 2026).
No. 46 of 2026—An Act to deal with consequential and transitional matters arising from the enactment of the Public and Educational Lending Rights (Better Income for Authors) Act 2026, and for related purposes. (Public and Educational Lending Rights (Better Income for Authors) Consequential Amendments and Transitional Provisions Act 2026).
No. 47 of 2026—An Act to amend the law relating to taxation, superannuation and bankruptcy, and for related purposes. (Treasury Laws Amendment (The Survivors Law) Act 2026).
