Acts of Parliament assented to – Act No. 37 and 38 of 2022
It is hereby notified, for general information, that His Excellency the Governor-General, in the name of His Majesty, assented on 13 September 2022 to the undermentioned Acts passed by the Senate and the House of Representatives in the Parliament assembled, viz.:
No. 37 of 2022—An Act to set out Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets, to provide for annual climate change statements, to confer advisory functions on the Climate Change Authority, and for related purposes. (Climate Change Act 2022).
No. 38 of 2022—An Act to deal with consequential matters arising from the enactment of the Climate Change Act 2022, and for other purposes. (Climate Change (Consequential Amendments) Act 2022).
