Acts Interpretation (Emergency Management Minister) Authorisation 2025
(1) I, Kristy McBain, Minister for Emergency Management, acting in accordance with section 19 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 and under subsection 34AAB(1) of that Act, authorise Tony Burke, Minister for Home Affairs, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Minister for Cyber Security and Minister for the Arts, to act on my behalf in the performance of functions or duties, or the exercise of powers, that I may perform or exercise as the Emergency Management Minister under the Disaster Ready Fund Act 2019 during the period that begins immediately after this instrument is signed on 22 September 2025 and ends at 5:00 pm AEST on 31 October 2025.
Note: The term Emergency Management Minister is defined under section 4 of Disaster Ready Fund Act 2019.
(2) This instrument commences immediately after it is signed.
(3) This instrument is revoked immediately after 5:00pm AEST on 31 October 2025.
