EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Authority for making the instrument.  Programs and Awards Statute 2013, section 8.

 

 

2. Purpose and operation of the instrument.  The Rules describe the circumstances under which students enrolled in coursework award programs might be refused re-enrolment in a course or courses, or might be excluded from further coursework study.  The Rules also establish procedures under which students may appeal against such decisions.

 

 

3. Documents incorporated in the instrument by reference.  None.

 

 

4. Consultation process.  The Rules were made by the Vice-Chancellor of the University on 25 June 2014 on the recommendation of the Academic Board.
