EXPLANATORY STATEMENT
1. Authority for making the instrument: Programs and Awards Statute 2013, section 8.
2. Purpose and operation of the instrument: The Rule describes the circumstances under which students enrolled in coursework award programs might be refused re-enrolment in a course or courses, or might be excluded from further coursework study. The Rule also establish procedures under which students may appeal against such decisions.
3. Documents incorporated in the instrument by reference: None.
4. Consultation process: The Rule was made by the Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Academic Board.
