Yalpat and Yalpat

In the matter of *Yalpat and Yalpat*, heard before Gill J, the dispute concerned the living arrangements and international travel of a child, X, born in 2017. The proceedings involved the Applicant Mother and the Respondent Father, Mr Yalpat.

The court was required to determine the primary residence of the child, X, and to consider orders restraining the Respondent Father from removing the child from the care of the Applicant Mother and from removing the child from the Commonwealth of Australia.

Gill J ordered that the child, X, live with the Applicant Mother. The Respondent Father was restrained from removing the child from the Applicant Mother's care unless by agreement or further court order. Furthermore, the Respondent Father, his servants, and agents were restrained from removing or attempting to remove the child from the Commonwealth of Australia, with a request for the Australian Federal Police to place the child's name on the Airport Watch List for two years. The proceedings were adjourned to allow the Father to file material and participate further.
