In the matter of *Xuereb & Xuereb*, heard by Hannam J, the dispute concerned an application for spousal maintenance. The husband was ordered to pay the wife a sum of $400 per week by way of spousal maintenance.

The court was required to determine the quantum and duration of spousal maintenance to be paid by the husband to the wife.

Hannam J ordered that pending further order, the husband was to pay the wife $400 per week, commencing on the first Friday following the making of the orders and continuing each Friday thereafter. These payments were to be made directly into the wife's nominated bank account.
