In the matter of Videnov & Blevins, Rees J of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia made orders concerning the parental responsibility and time spent with the child, B. The dispute involved the parents' arrangements for their child, born in 2009, with the court ultimately discharging all previous parenting orders.

The court was required to determine the most appropriate parenting arrangements for the child, including the allocation of parental responsibility, the nature and extent of the mother's time with the child, and the communication and information sharing between the parents. Additionally, the court had to consider orders to restrain the mother from certain conduct and to address the costs of the Independent Children's Lawyer.

Rees J ordered that the father have sole parental responsibility for the child. The mother's time with the child was significantly restricted and supervised for an initial period of 12 months, with a gradual, albeit limited, increase thereafter. The orders also included specific provisions for telephone contact, the exchange of school and medical information, and detailed restrictions on the mother's conduct, including prohibitions on attending the father's home or workplace, contacting the father's wife, and denigrating the father or his wife. The court also made orders regarding the payment of costs and the inclusion of a Fact Sheet detailing the obligations and consequences of contravening the orders.
