Valdez and Frazier

In the matter of *Valdez and Frazier*, heard before Le Poer Trench J, the father filed an Amended Contravention Application and an application for variation of parenting orders. The mother had previously filed a Response to an Application in a Case.

The court was required to determine whether the father's contravention application should be dismissed and whether his application for variation of parenting orders should be granted. The court also needed to address the mother's application under s 102QB of the *Family Law Act 1975* (Cth) and the father's potential application under the same section.

Le Poer Trench J dismissed the father's Amended Contravention Application and his application for variation of parenting orders. The court noted that the father had received copies of certain exhibits. Directions were given for the father to file and serve a reply to the mother's response, along with any supporting evidence, by 22 March 2016. The court scheduled the applications under s 102QB of the *Family Law Act* for 12 May 2016, and reserved costs in respect of the contravention and recusal applications for determination on that date.
