Teague and Teague

In *Teague and Teague*, heard by Judge Young, the dispute concerned the division of property between a husband and wife. The court was tasked with determining the appropriate financial and property settlement between the parties.

The central legal issues before the court were the quantum of a lump sum payment to be made by the husband to the wife, and the return of specific documents held by the husband. The court also needed to decide how the remaining property of each party should be treated.

Judge Young ordered that the husband pay $125,000 to the Public Trustee on behalf of the wife within 90 days. Additionally, the husband was required to provide any Certificates of Title or passports belonging to the wife that were in his possession within 30 days. All other property was to remain with the party in whose name or possession it currently resided.
