Taugher and Canes

In the matter of Taugher and Canes, Barry J of the Family Court of Australia considered property settlement issues between the Wife and the Husband. The dispute concerned the division of assets and liabilities, including the Wife's obligation to pay a sum to the Husband and the release of a bank guarantee.

Additionally, the Husband was directed to sign all necessary documents to release his guarantee to Westpac Bank over the properties at 7 and 9 B Street. The order stipulated that if the Husband failed to do so upon request, a Registrar of the Family Court of Australia at Brisbane was appointed to execute the relevant documents and take all necessary actions in the Husband's name, pursuant to section 106A of the *Family Law Act*.
