The Court of Criminal Appeal heard an appeal against conviction and sentence by Norman Edward Ohl. The appellant was convicted of various offences including assault occasioning bodily harm, reckless grievous bodily harm and aggravated burglary. The appeal against conviction and sentence was dismissed by Justice Porter. The appellant did not succeed in his arguments that there was a miscarriage of justice due to errors in the trial judge’s directions to the jury and the length of his sentence.
