Stennet and Stennet

The parties in this matter were the Mother and the Father, who were engaged in a dispute concerning their children. The case was heard by Judge Altobelli.

The court was required to determine the appropriate forum for the proceedings and to make orders regarding the location of the children.

Judge Altobelli ordered that the matter be transferred to the Federal Circuit Court of Australia at Launceston, with a direction for it to be listed no later than 20 July 2018. Furthermore, the Mother was ordered to return the children to the Town A area of Tasmania by the same date. The Court also recommended that consideration be given to reappointing the Independent Children’s Lawyer and expediting the final hearing.
