AN ACT to amend section two of the State Govern-

ment Insurance Office Act, 1938.

[Assented to 12th November, 19431

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the State Government Short title.

Insurance Office Act Amendment Act, 1943, and shall be read as one with the State Government Insurance Office

Amendment

of s. 2.

Section two of the principal Act is amended by

inserting in the definition of "Insurance business," after

paragraph (b), a new paragraph, as follows:

(b1) Subject as hereinafter provided, in relation to all classes of insurable risks, including third

party risks, in connection with the ownership and use of motor vehicles: Provided that, as regards the acceptance and undertaking of insurance business of any kind mentioned in this paragraph, this paragraph shall apply and have effect only during such time as the effecting of insurance against third party risks arising out of the use of motor vehicles by or on behalf of owners of motor vehicles is by law made compulsory.
