Slipper and Calder

In *Slipper and Calder*, the father sought to discharge existing parenting orders and obtain sole parental responsibility for the child, B, who was born in 2009. The mother opposed these orders. The matter came before Watts J.

The primary legal issue before the court was whether the existing parenting orders should be discharged and, if so, what new orders were in the best interests of the child. This involved a determination of whether the father should have sole parental responsibility for all long-term and day-to-day decisions concerning the child, and whether the child should live with the father.

Watts J discharged all previous parenting orders concerning the child. The court ordered that the father have sole parental responsibility for all day-to-day and long-term decisions relating to the child. Furthermore, the court ordered that the child live with the father.
