The parties in this matter were the mother and the father, who were involved in a dispute concerning parenting orders. The case came before Gill J in the Family Court of Australia. The court was required to determine whether to amend the existing orders to allow the mother to suspend Saturday and Sunday time with the father on four occasions per year, subject to certain conditions regarding the frequency of suspensions and notice periods. Additionally, the court had to consider whether to impose conditions on the father's continued use of specific supervisors, requiring them to acknowledge receipt and understanding of the orders.

Gill J ordered that the existing orders of 15 December 2016 be amended. The amendments permit the mother to suspend Saturday and Sunday time with the father on four occasions annually, provided that no more than two consecutive weekends are suspended and 28 days' written notice is given to the father. Furthermore, the father is prohibited from continuing to use the listed supervisors unless each supervisor has been provided with a copy of the amended orders and has provided written acknowledgement that they have read a specified notation, with such acknowledgement to be provided to the mother's solicitors.
