Sale of Hazardous Goods Order 2004 (TAS)

The Products Safety Committee made the Sale of Hazardous Goods Order 2004 under the Sale of Hazardous Goods Act 1977. The Order places conditions on the sale of projectile toys and corded internal window coverings. The Committee was required to determine whether the proposed Order was appropriate to protect the public from injury or death that may result from the sale of projectile toys and corded internal window coverings. The Order was made to protect the public from injury or death that may result from the sale of projectile toys and corded internal window coverings. The Committee considered the safety standards relevant to projectile toys and corded internal window coverings, and determined that modifications to those standards were necessary to better protect the public. The Order was made on 20 May 2004 and notified in the Gazette on 6 October 2004.
