Sadek and Sadek

In the matter of *Sadek and Sadek*, Harper J considered an application concerning the parenting arrangements for the parties' eldest child, X, born in 2010. The dispute revolved around the specific time the child would spend with the father.

The court was required to determine the orders regarding the child's time with the father on 21 June 2019, and to set a procedural timetable for any future applications to vary existing orders made on 16 February 2018. Furthermore, the court needed to establish a framework for the parties and the Independent Children’s Lawyer to prepare for an interim hearing.

Harper J ordered that, subject to prior orders, the father would have time with X from the conclusion of school until 5:30 pm on 21 June 2019. The court also directed the mother to file any application for variation of the February 2018 orders by 25 June 2019, with the father to respond by 1 July 2019. All extant applications were adjourned to 4 July 2019 for an interim hearing. The court further mandated that by 1 July 2019, all parties, their legal representatives, and the Independent Children’s Lawyer were to exchange detailed case outlines. Finally, all parties and legal representatives were directed to attend court an hour prior to the interim hearing for discussions and to review subpoena material, with any party intending to tender such material required to pre-tab the relevant pages.
