Rudolf & Meicher

In *Rudolf & Meicher*, heard by Barry J, the dispute concerned parenting orders for a child, S, born in May 1997. The court was required to determine the living arrangements for S, the allocation of parental responsibility, and the nature and extent of communication between S and her father, as well as between S and her siblings, N and T.

The court ordered that S live with the Mother and that the Mother have sole parental responsibility for S's long-term care, welfare, and development, as well as day-to-day care. Crucially, the court made orders prohibiting any communication between the Father and S, and also between S and her siblings, N and T. Further orders addressed the Father's ability to change the schooling of child T and the delivery of S's possessions. The proceedings were adjourned for the handing down of final judgment, with the court also noting the inclusion of a Fact Sheet detailing the obligations and consequences of contravening the orders, pursuant to sections 65DA(2) and 62B of the *Family Law Act 1975*.
