Pratley & Pratley (No. 2)

In *Pratley & Pratley (No. 2)*, Gill J of the Family Court of Australia considered an application for costs following earlier proceedings. The dispute concerned the wife's liability to pay the husband's costs in relation to an application filed on 8 July 2020.

The primary legal issue before the court was whether the wife was to be considered a "wholly unsuccessful" party for the purposes of a costs order, and if so, how those costs should be fixed.

Gill J determined that the wife was to pay the husband's costs. The court ordered that these costs be fixed in the sum of $11,258.35, payable within 56 days of the order being made.
