Powell and Biggs (No 2)

In *Powell and Biggs (No 2)*, the dispute before Macmillan J concerned the costs of an application made by the mother and the father's response to that application. The court was required to determine the appropriate orders regarding these applications and the associated costs.

The primary legal issue before the court was the disposition of the mother's application filed on 17 February 2015 and the father's response filed on 30 April 2015. Crucially, the court was also tasked with determining the quantum and allocation of the mother's costs in relation to her application.

Macmillan J ordered that the father pay the mother's costs of and incidental to her application, fixed at $10,953, to be paid by 4.00pm on 5 August 2015. The court further ordered that both the mother's application and the father's response be otherwise dismissed.
