Ortona and Peters

In the matter of *Ortona and Peters*, heard before Cronin J, the dispute concerned an application to discharge existing Airport Watch List orders pertaining to two children, B and C. These orders had previously been made by Justice Benjamin on 21 October 2015.

The central legal issue before the court was whether the Airport Watch List orders, which restricted the children's ability to travel, should be discharged. This required the court to consider the continued necessity and appropriateness of such restrictions in light of the circumstances.

Cronin J ordered the discharge of paragraph 2 of the previous orders made by Justice Benjamin. The court further advised the Australian Federal Police and all other relevant authorities that these Airport Watch orders were now discharged. A copy of these orders was to be served electronically on the mother.
