In the matter of NORTON & NORTON, heard by Judge Newbrun, the Respondent Father sought to discharge an interim order made on 16 March 2015 concerning parental contact with the children, and to vary another interim order made on the same date. The Court was required to determine whether to uphold or dismiss the Father's applications to discharge and vary these existing orders.

The Court considered the applications and ultimately dismissed the Respondent Father's applications to discharge and vary the interim orders. Instead, the Court made new orders by consent between the parties, as detailed in the Short Minutes of Consent Order dated 17 July 2015. These consent orders established a framework for parental telephone time, holiday time, and specific arrangements for Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, and the children's birthdays, pending further order. Additionally, the consent orders included provisions regarding the Father's obligation to ensure a child's attendance at pre-school and directed the parties to attend family counselling.
