MZZMD v Minister for Immigration

The applicant, MZZMD, sought judicial review of a decision made by the Refugee Review Tribunal concerning an application for a Protection (Class XA) visa. The matter came before Judge Hartnett in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia.

The central legal issue before the Court was whether the Refugee Review Tribunal had committed a jurisdictional error in its assessment of the applicant's claim for a Protection visa.

Judge Hartnett found no jurisdictional error on the part of the Refugee Review Tribunal. The Court concluded that the Tribunal's decision was valid and that the applicant's application for judicial review should therefore be dismissed.
