Moffat and Moffat

The parties to this proceeding were Moffat and Moffat. The dispute concerned orders to be made in relation to their family law matter. The decision was made by Cronin J in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

The court was required to determine the terms of consent orders to be made between the parties.

Cronin J made orders by consent in accordance with minutes of proposed orders that had been marked as Exhibit "A". These minutes were sealed and attached to the court's orders and directed to remain on the court file. The court also ordered that the reasons provided on that day be transcribed and placed on the court file. The solicitor for the wife was directed to engross the minutes and deliver them electronically to the Associate within seven days.
