Mizzi and Wilson

In the matter of *Mizzi and Wilson*, heard before Cronin J, the dispute concerned parenting orders for two children, D and C. The proceedings involved applications by both the mother and the father, with the court ultimately making final orders regarding the children's care and welfare.

The central legal issues before the court were the determination of sole parental responsibility for the children, where the children should live, and whether to impose specific restrictions on the father's contact with the children in relation to certain individuals. The court was also required to consider the implications of contravening any orders made.

Cronin J ordered that the mother have sole parental responsibility for the children and that they live with her. The father, his servants and agents were restrained from allowing the children to come into contact with Mr E, Mr F Wilson, or Ms G Wilson. The court also directed that particulars of the obligations and consequences of contravening these orders, along with information on assistance for compliance, be set out in an attached Fact Sheet, which was to be incorporated into the orders. All previous orders, including the appointment of an Independent Children’s Lawyer, were discharged, and all outstanding applications were dismissed.
