CaseChat Overview and Summary
The primary legal issues addressed by the Commission were whether the terms of the agreement were consistent with the provisions of the Fair Work Act and whether they provided adequate protections for the casual crew members. The Commission had to consider whether the agreement covered all required terms, provided fair compensation, and adhered to the principles of enterprise bargaining. The Commission also needed to ensure that the agreement did not undermine the rights or entitlements of the casual crew members.
In its decision, the Commission found that the PRETTY WOMAN THE MUSICAL CASUAL CREW COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT 2025 met the necessary legal standards. The agreement was comprehensive, providing for appropriate remuneration, conditions of employment, and other protections. The Commission noted that the agreement balanced the rights of the casual crew members with the operational needs of the production, and that it did not contravene any provisions of the Fair Work Act. As a result, the Commission approved the agreement, finding it to be fair and reasonable.
The Fair Work Commission approved the PRETTY WOMAN THE MUSICAL CASUAL CREW COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT 2025, effective from the date of the decision. The agreement was to be registered with the Fair Work Ombudsman and would govern the employment conditions of casual crew members in the specified production.
