Martin and Martin (No 2)

In *Martin and Martin (No 2)*, Young J of the Family Court of Australia considered an application for interim spousal maintenance. The proceedings involved the husband and wife, with the wife seeking orders for financial support and the continuation of a lease payment for her motor vehicle.

The court was required to determine the appropriate interim spousal maintenance payable by the husband to the wife, as well as whether the husband should continue to meet the lease payments for the wife's vehicle. The husband was also directed to provide extensive financial documentation to the wife's solicitors, including loan applications, liabilities, leases, trust deeds, bank statements, and taxation returns for entities in which he had an interest or control over the preceding two years. The wife's application filed on 1 September 2010 was dismissed, costs were reserved, and all extant applications were adjourned to 11 November 2010.
