Lines and Lines (No 2)

In the matter of *Lines and Lines (No 2)*, Gill J of the Family Court of Australia made orders concerning the care arrangements for the children X, Y, and Z during the Christmas school holidays of 2018/2019. The dispute involved the father seeking specific time with the children during these holidays, while the mother was to have the children at other times.

The court was required to determine the specific periods the children would spend with each parent during the Christmas school holidays, as well as the location for changeovers. Additionally, the court addressed the interim care of child X pending the commencement of the father's holiday time. The parties also sought orders regarding the preparation of an expert report and subsequent mediation.

By consent, the court ordered that the children would spend time with the father during specified periods of the Christmas school holidays, with the mother caring for the children at all other times during the holiday period. Changeovers were to occur at B Park. The court further ordered, by consent, that the parties attend upon Dr C for the preparation of an expert report on 25 February 2019, and thereafter attend mediation in March 2019. The parties were directed to confer on terms of reference for Dr C within 28 days, with liberty to list the matter for settlement of those terms if agreement could not be reached. The Independent Children’s Lawyer was granted liberty to access subpoenaed material and provide relevant portions to Dr C.
