Lieu and Antcliff

In *Lieu and Antcliff*, heard by Watts J, the wife sought to have her application filed on 30 September 2015 dismissed, while a divorce order was sought in relation to the parties' marriage solemnised in B Island, Fiji in 2013.

The primary legal issue before the court was whether to grant the wife's application to dismiss her own proceedings, and consequently, whether to make a divorce order.

Watts J considered the wife's application to dismiss her proceedings. The court ultimately dismissed the wife's application. In light of this, and having regard to the evidence before the court concerning the marriage, Watts J made a divorce order in relation to the parties' marriage.
