The Court of Criminal Appeal heard an appeal against conviction and sentence in the matter of the Director of Public Prosecutions v Jesse Leigh Fletcher-Jones. The appellant was convicted of possessing a dangerous drug and possessing an implement suitable for the administration of a dangerous drug, contrary to the Poisons Act 1971. The appeal was against both conviction and sentence, with the appellant submitting that the trial judge erred in law and the evidence was insufficient to support a conviction. The appeal was dismissed.

The appeal raised a number of legal issues, including whether the trial judge erred in failing to exclude evidence obtained pursuant to a warrant that was not properly executed and whether the evidence was sufficient to support a conviction. The court found that the trial judge did not err in law in admitting the evidence and that the evidence was sufficient to support the conviction. The court also found that the sentence was appropriate and did not constitute a significant error in the appellant's favour.
