In the matter of *Kendall & Karas*, Aldridge J of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia considered an application by the wife for contravention against the husband. The wife alleged that the husband had contravened certain orders.

Consequently, the wife was ordered to pay the husband's costs of the contravention application, with the assessment and enforcement of these costs to be deferred until the conclusion of the property proceedings between the parties. Further applications filed by the wife were stood over to a future date before the Registrar, with the costs of the respondent in relation to one of these contravention applications being reserved.
