Jandakot Airport Chamber of Commerce Inc and Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development

The Jandakot Airport Chamber of Commerce Inc sought judicial review of a decision by the Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development to approve a draft master plan for Jandakot Airport. The application was heard by Deputy President and Justice Barker.

The core of the dispute concerned whether the Minister's approval of the draft master plan was lawful. Further issues included whether the master plan adequately covered the required 20-year period, whether consultation regarding the draft plan was sufficient, and whether a timetable for development was necessary.

The court found no basis to require reconsideration of the Minister's approval of the 2014 final master plan on the grounds raised by the applicant. Consequently, the court affirmed the Minister's decision made on 17 February 2015.
