In proceedings before Judge Young, the applicant sought to have contravention and contempt applications dismissed and the proceedings transferred to the Family Court of Australia. The respondent sought judgment in respect to an initiating application filed in 2013.

The court was required to determine whether the applicant's applications for contravention and contempt should be dismissed and whether the proceedings should be transferred to the Family Court of Australia. The court also considered the applicant's obligation to file submissions in relation to the initiating application.

Judge Young dismissed the applicant's applications for contravention and contempt, removing the proceedings from the Active Pending Cases List. The oral application to transfer the proceedings to the Family Court of Australia was also dismissed. The applicant was excused from further compliance with an order requiring the filing of submissions. Judgment in respect to the initiating application filed in 2013 was reserved.
