Heron and Heron concerned property proceedings between Mr and Mrs Heron. The proceedings were before Judge Newbrun.

Judge Newbrun determined that the Family Court of Australia had jurisdiction to hear the matter. The court ordered that the property proceedings be forthwith transferred to the Family Court of Australia at Parramatta.
