In the matter of *Heinrichs and Heinrichs*, Harper J considered an application by the Father. The dispute concerned parenting arrangements for the children of the relationship.

The court was required to determine the appropriate interim parenting orders and the procedural steps necessary to facilitate the resolution of the parenting dispute. This included whether the Father's application should be dismissed and the extent to which the parties should engage in mediation and a family report process.

Harper J dismissed the Father's application, directing the parties to engage in mediation organised by the Independent Children’s Lawyer, to be conducted by telephone. Further, pursuant to s 62G(2) of the *Family Law Act 1975* (Cth), the court ordered that the parties and the children attend upon a Family Consultant for the preparation of a Family Report addressing issues under s 60CC of the Act. The parties were directed to provide documents to the Family Consultant and confirm attendance for interviews.
