The proceedings involved the parties, referred to as the husband and wife, and concerned interim orders for spousal maintenance and other financial matters. The court was required to determine the appropriate interim financial arrangements pending final resolution of the property settlement and other related applications.

Additionally, the husband was ordered to pay $150 per week by way of spousal maintenance and to maintain the family medical and hospital cover, with one-quarter of its cost attributed as spousal maintenance. The husband was also to be solely responsible for payments due on the line of credit secured over the former matrimonial home. Other interim orders sought by the wife were dismissed, and various applications for final financial orders were adjourned.
