Flinders and Carmine (No 2)

In the matter of *Flinders and Carmine (No 2)*, the Family Court of Australia considered a dispute between the mother and father concerning the future living arrangements and parental responsibility for their child, J.

The central legal issue before the Court was to determine the most appropriate orders regarding the child's residence and the allocation of parental responsibility, as well as the nature and extent of the father's future contact with the child.

Burr J ordered that the child, J, born in September 2003, should live with the mother and that she should have sole parental responsibility for the child. The Court further ordered that the father would spend time with the child at such times as may be agreed between the parties.
