Ferreday and Layh (No 2)

In the matter of *Ferreday and Layh (No 2)*, Berman J of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia considered an application filed on 6 April 2019. The dispute involved Mr Ferreday and Ms Layh, with the Independent Children’s Lawyer also participating.

The court was required to determine the appropriate orders to be made in relation to the application filed by Mr Ferreday. This included determining the costs associated with the proceedings and the ultimate disposition of the application itself.

Berman J ordered that Mr Ferreday pay the costs of Ms Layh in the sum of $5,114 and the costs of the Independent Children’s Lawyer in the sum of $392. These costs were to be paid upon the settlement of the sale of a specified property. Furthermore, the application in the case filed on 6 April 2019 was dismissed.
