Falkner and Candle

In *Falkner and Candle*, Foster J of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia considered an application by the wife for costs. The husband was ordered to pay the wife's costs of and incidental to her interim application filed on 5 June 2019.

The central legal issue before the court was the quantum of costs to be awarded to the wife in relation to her interim application.

Foster J determined that the appropriate costs order was for the husband to pay the wife's costs, assessed at $12,500. These costs were to be paid within 28 days of the date of the order.
