Fair Work Ombudsman v Wegra Investments Pty Ltd

The court acknowledged the seriousness of the violations, particularly the failure to provide adequate records and the improper treatment of employees.

The Federal Circuit Court ordered that Wegra Investments be subject to a monetary penalty of $34,000 for the contraventions identified. The court also adjourned further consideration of penalties for the second respondent until a later date. No order was made regarding costs.
