Egerton and Hiczewski

In the Family Court of Australia, Justice Murphy presided over proceedings involving Egerton and Hiczewski. The dispute concerned parenting arrangements for the children, L and E.

The court was required to determine the specific terms of the father's time with the children, particularly in relation to facilitating changeovers at the C Contact Centre. The court also considered the preparation of an updating report by a Family Consultant.

Justice Murphy ordered that the matter be adjourned for further mention. Crucially, the court ordered that all changeovers between the parties for the purposes of the father spending time with the children were to take place at the C Contact Centre. The father's time with the children was to occur in accordance with existing orders, but only if the C Contact Centre could facilitate the changeovers at the specified times and days. If the centre was unable to do so, the father's time was to occur within the earliest and latest possible times that the centre could facilitate the changeover on the relevant day. A further updating report from a Family Consultant was also ordered, with both parties directed to facilitate the children's attendance at sessions with the consultant.
