Doan and Lock

This matter concerned parenting orders for a child, X, born in 2011, between the mother and the father. The proceedings were heard in the Family Court of Australia by Baumann J.

The court was required to determine the living arrangements for the child and the schedule for the child to spend time and communicate with each parent. Furthermore, an injunction was issued restraining both parents from taking the child to the Police or the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women without first notifying the Independent Children's Lawyer in writing. The proceedings were adjourned for a case management hearing, with directions given for the filing of affidavit material and the setting of a final hearing date.
