Dione and Dione

In the matter of *Dione and Dione*, Justice Cronin of the Family Court of Australia considered applications by both the husband and wife concerning parenting and property matters. The husband had also made an application for priority of hearing.

The primary legal issues before the Court were whether to grant the husband's application for priority of hearing, and how to manage the outstanding applications regarding parenting and property. The Court also had to determine the procedural steps necessary to prepare the matter for trial.

Justice Cronin granted the husband's application for priority of hearing. The Court ordered that all outstanding applications by both parties, relating to both parenting and property issues, be listed for the first day of hearing on 5 March 2010. Further, the husband was directed to file and serve an amended application detailing the property issues by 26 February 2010. The Court also imposed a restriction, requiring that neither party file further affidavit material prior to the trial without leave.
