The case of *Corelli & Gunther* concerned applications for contravention brought by the father, Mr Corelli, against the mother, Ms Gunther, in relation to parenting orders. The proceedings were heard by Berman J.

The primary legal issue before the court was whether Ms Gunther had contravened existing parenting orders, as alleged in three separate applications filed by Mr Corelli. The court was required to determine the factual basis for these allegations and, if contravention was established, to consider the appropriate response.

Berman J found that while some of the allegations of contravention were substantiated, the overall conduct did not warrant the most severe sanctions. Instead, the court determined that a bond for a period of one year, without surety or security, was an appropriate measure. This bond was conditioned on Ms Gunther being of good behaviour and complying with all current and future parenting orders. The court also ordered that the applications for contravention be otherwise dismissed.
