The court found that the application for an extension was justified due to the complexity of the negotiations and the need for further consultation with the workforce. The extension was deemed necessary to ensure that the agreement reflected the genuine interests of the employees. The court acknowledged that while the enterprise agreement process should be efficient, it must also be fair and inclusive, allowing for adequate consultation and negotiation.
